West Bend Insurance partners with Plnar to empower policyholders and field experts with virtual contactless inspections

The most notable reason why I find (Plnar built into our adjustment process) this so valuable is that in today’s world where people expect fast delivery I am able to meet this expectation! “

– Scott Thomas, West Bend Insurance | Claims Director

WEST BEND, WI, USA, Nov 30, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – West Bend Insurance today announced a new integration that allows policyholders to easily document their indoor property claim, in less than 2 minutes per room . Plnar’s artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality improve claims adjustment by giving adjusters and policyholders the ability to create on-site estimates simply by taking pictures of a room with the Snap app , available on Android and iOS mobile devices.

Through this integration, adjusters receive 3D diagrams of claim sites that were automatically created by Plnar using photos uploaded from the insured’s or claims adjuster‘s smart devices. These highly detailed interactive digital diagrams of interior structures are automatically and seamlessly imported into Xactimate to help adjusters quickly estimate repair costs without having to manually sketch the site of the loss.

“Using Plnar accelerated my claims processing times and enabled West Bend adjusters to produce accurate estimates for policyholders and contractors. I found the measurements to be within an inch of the contractor’s measurements and completed in half the time it takes a contractor to laser measure, ”said Scott Thomas, claims manager at West Bend Insurance. “Our claims adjuster’s Plnar sketch is finished by the time they arrive home after an inspection. Incorporating Plnar into our adjustment process has taken West Bend to the next level in providing service to our policyholders. The most notable reason why I find it so valuable is that in today’s world, where people expect fast delivery, I am able to meet that expectation! “

“Plnar combines the latest AI and augmented reality technologies with technology that is becoming available in every home: smart devices,” said Andy Greff, CEO of Plnar. “Plnar’s platform streamlines domestic real estate claims for adjusters and claimants by enabling a self-service digital claims process. By equipping Plnar’s adjusters, West Bend can dramatically reduce cycle times and provide policyholders with first-class claims service.
