Take action against “online call money lenders”: Andhra CM directs officials

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India]December 22nd (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ordered officials Tuesday to take tough measures against “online overnight money lenders”.
“During a meeting with officials here on Tuesday, the chief minister directed them to take tough action against those who borrow money at exorbitant rates through online apps and harass borrowers,” the CMO said.

Reddy also announced Gratia to the families of the two victims in two separate incidents at the same meeting.
The family of a 10th grade girl (Sowmya) who committed suicide in Korrapadu, Guntur District, was announced compensation of Rs 10 lakhs. The result is the video of the deceased, in which she said she killed herself because of sexual harassment.
Similarly, the prime minister announced 5 lakh compensation to the von Bhuvaneswari family, a disabled village volunteer who died in a tragic incident in Dasarajupalle, Ongole town, Prakasam district. (ANI)
