Mosaic Insurance strengthens its global claims management team

Industry expert Elissa Doroff has joined Mosaic Insurance to lead the company’s North American claims handling as it expands the core division globally.

A spokesperson said, “Based in New York, Doroff has been appointed Americas Claims Manager for Mosaic and over time will expand the scope of the unit to serve a wide geographic area encompassing the United States and Canada. His appointment follows another recent addition to Mosaic’s claims team, Rachel Haffenden, who joined the specialty insurer’s London office last month as a senior claims adjuster. The division has been led since the launch of Mosaic in February 2021 by Natalie Graham, an attorney who previously held senior roles at Syndicate 4000 and Aon.

Doroff has over 15 years of industry knowledge and will work with Mosaic brokers and policyholders across North America across the company’s six product lines. She started her insurance career as a claims advisor at AIG, then served as cyber and technology product manager at AXA XL. She also has extensive experience in corporate advisory and proactive risk mitigation through her tenure on the broker side, including roles at Marsh and Lockton. Prior to 2006, she began her tax legal career at Deloitte.

Haffenden has handled leased line claims in the London market since 2009, most recently at a Lloyd’s syndicate where she handled complex claims in multiple jurisdictions.
