Gasoline and Diesel Prices Today: Gasoline and diesel prices were again increased in all four subways on Wednesday, June 16, according to Indian Oil Corporation. In Delhi, gasoline prices were increased by 25 paise from Rs 96.41 per liter to Rs 96.66 per liter and diesel prices were increased by 13 paise from Rs 87.28 per liter to 87, 41 Rs per liter. In Mumbai, the revised gasoline and diesel prices are Rs 102.82 per liter and Rs 94.84 per liter. Fuel prices vary from state to state due to value added tax. The state-run oil marketing companies – Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum align heating oil rates with those of world crude oil prices taking into account any changes in exchange rates. Any changes in fuel prices are implemented from 6 am every day.

Meanwhile, oil prices rose nearly 2% to their highest level in more than two years on Tuesday, supported by expectations of a rapid recovery in demand in the second half of 2021.

Brent crude rose $ 1.13, or 1.6%, to $ 73.99 a barrel. The global benchmark hit $ 74.07 a barrel during the session, its highest level since April 2019. US oil rose $ 1.24, or 1.8%, to stand at $ 72.12 per barrel.
