Arturo partners with Urban Sky to expand the collection of high-precision stratospheric images

CHICAGO–() –Arturo, an AI-powered platform that derives real estate insights and predictive analytics from aerial and satellite imagery, signed a partnership agreement with Urban Sky to incorporate the company’s stratospheric photos into Arturo’s growing collection of real estate imagery. Through this partnership, Arturo can offer more detailed analysis to its insurance customers in the USA, especially in the suburbs and rural areas.

“Accurate, high-frequency real estate data is critical for insurance companies to make intelligent decisions that can effectively mitigate risk,” said John-Isaac “jC” Clark, CEO of Arturo. “Our machine learning technology excels at identifying real estate conditions and features and predicting problems, but our ability to provide the most value depends on access to high quality, on-demand imagery. By including Urban Sky in our network of image providers, we are once again increasing the accuracy and insight for our customers. ”

Urban Sky’s Microballoon ™ captures large, high-resolution images from up to 60,000 feet above sea level using technology that is far less expensive than traditional aerial photography. Thanks to its partnership with Urban Sky, Arturo will increase the frequency of its image collection, resulting in better service to policyholders in markets across North America.

“Arturo is the leader in real estate imaging analysis and we are excited to have them as our first commercial partner,” said Andrew Antonio, CEO of Urban Sky. “The stratosphere provides a unique vantage point from which to take high-resolution images at low cost, thanks to our reusable Microballoon ™. Looking to the future, we see stratospheric images as the gold standard for property insurance and other sectors that rely on high quality and frequent real estate images. ”

Originally developed from more than three years of research by American Family Insurance, Arturo uses machine learning to translate satellite, stratospheric, aerial and ground images from multiple sources into data points that are then used to map a wide range of property characteristics identify carriers that are relevant to global insurance, such as roof condition, tree population, building materials, fire hazard and other external properties.

Insurance insurers, actuaries, risk advisors, pricing experts and claims experts rely on Arturo to streamline manual, paper-based and personal processes; more precise supply, subscription and pricing policies; and give your employees time to process more claims in less time.

After catastrophic weather events such as hurricanes, floods or fires, insurers can better assess the damage of a particular event with access to on-demand aerial images from multiple sources, make payouts faster and deploy staff more strategically.
